Vitruvio runs a Boltzmann brain: a store of content-addressed, typed blocks — the evidence you registered, what happened and when, the facts and procedures derived from it, and the provenance tying each derivation to its source — arranged so that every version can be verified, published, installed and reconciled with a copy somebody else advanced. The brain conserves, validates and retrieves knowledge; an interchangeable model interprets it. The brain returns evidence, never prose.

What is a Boltzmann brain

The paper, and how the protocol works in plain words.

Operating a brain

  • Working with a brain — searching, browsing, ingesting, removing, publishing, migrating.
  • Sources — registering evidence, declaring where material comes from, writing a source kind.
  • Projects — one project, many brains, one repository each.
  • Reconciliation — when the local brain and its published copy disagree.
  • Authenticity — signing, trust roots, pins and the audit views.
  • Compound — one question across several brains of one project.
  • Catalog — portable classifications over canonical evidence.
